Reading your article about Mood stabilisers has changed my life!!!! I am now taking 1000mg of Depakote or Sodium Valproate and also 5mg of Abilify at night.
Thank you so much because I am starting to feel stable for the first time in a long time after only being on various anti-psychotics and dangerously for me taking sertraline anti-depressant.
You have no idea but a light went on in my head even though I was feeling very anxious and hypomanic at the time.
Thank you xxx
I hope you get some time to reply . Bless you for the good work you are doing. 🙂
Thank you so much Lynne. I’m so happy to hear that you are achieving stability and are on medications that are working for you. I’m deeply touched that my article helped you in such a meaningful way in your life.
With Care,
Robin
Thank you for replying Robin! I am applying for psychotherapy to teach me coping mechanisms now to go alongside my stability achieved through medications. There of course are still “Triggers” in my day to day life and I need help with coping with them. Best wishes for your continued succes from Lynne xxxxx
I am just on Depakote now. The Abilify (Aripiprizole) was giving me severe pains in my digestive system and also I started sleeping during the day excessively. I read your article on being organised and found it very truthful and helpful. Also I have to be disciplined about when to go to bed at night as I really need my night-time sleep and when I get “over-tired” I sometimes cannot get to sleep. For people reading what I am saying they may think “why is she talking about this?” . Bipolar is a complicated condition but common sense needs to prevail in order to re-discover one’s “sanity” and/or equilibrium. Being sensible about eating, sleeping exercise and such things is so important in staying healthy.
